Don't Give Up

My mom used to bring up the phrase, “whether you think you can, or you think you can’t… you’re right.” And for years to come, this has been my mantra.  Your mindset plays one of the biggest roles in your ability to do something.  There will always be distractions, people who discourage or intimidate you, judge you… the list goes on.  But when we feed into those negative thoughts and energies… it dims our ability to Shine our Bright.  As an entire tribe and collective, the encouragement we give ourselves and others affects everything on a daily level and when your days turn into weeks then months and you are still in the same mindset, everyone suffers.

Shine Your Bright is here to help you open up the world to self introspection and appreciation.  When we live with the intent to support and take conscience care of ourselves through mindfulness, meditation and journaling, we never lose sight in who we are and how we feel.  Everything is ever changing around us but when our mindset is constant, so is our mission.  If your mission is to succeed in your goals, some things we used to consider “failures” will no longer be perceived as such but rather you can look through the lens of “everything is a learning experience.”  In essence, DON’T GIVE UP!  Look to those you admire in your life and begin to adopt the habits and ways of them, you just might notice that they have strong mindsets for perseverance.

It is keen for us to remember to trust in a process, too.  There is no such thing as an overnight success, although it may seem as such, odds are, the occurrence was years in the making.  Trust yourself, trust the process and know that every effort you’re making with good intentions will play to your ultimate purpose. Love yourself, love your “imperfections” and if you feel cloudy about who “you” really are:  take the opportunity to use insightful journal prompts to explore who “you” really are.

We all have doubts, questions and misconceptions about how life will pan out for us as individuals or as a tribe but when we come together with the collective goal to help one another succeed, there is harmony. Remember to act with good intentions, support your community, pay it forward and give to receive.  This is how we work towards Shining our Brightest, even in the darkest of times.
